Books have always been my best friends they constantly took me to a world of wonder, fantasy and the unknown. Whether it was a fiction novel or a book about biology I love reading about everything. Part of my intentions for 2018 is to read more and spend more quiet time centering with books. I have compiled a list for you and for myself so we can read them together.
- Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari
This book has been on my list to read since last year, I found it in Istanbul airport and grabbed it right away. I started and I’m not able to put it down. Within its first pages I have started to question so many things about us humans and how we think and how we create. This book is an unusual read for me but so far it’s been an exciting journey never the less.
I’ve heard so many reviews about this book and the writer too. Brené Brown studies human connection — our ability to empathize, belong, love. She is known for her work on vulnerability, shame, and courage. Which blows my mind cause I’m very big on these topics. Here is her Ted Talk to get you as excited about this book, as I am.
Gabriel Bernstein is one of my favorite authors, and she’s written a book about releasing judgment. Judgment is something that we all need to work on, and it will be life-changing. I can’t wait to start reading and releasing judgment. This one also comes with a journal.
This is all about not worrying about people pleasing and start pleasing yourself! I’m on board need not say more.
So far these are the books I’m excited about reading this winter… I love hearing from you email me what books you are reading or excited about reading firstname.lastname@example.org
